'Somewhere In The Sun' is a one bedroom luxury lockout condo located in the new Grande Bay Condominium Resort on beautiful St. John -- the best of the U.S. Virgin Islands -- and the perfect spot for a romantic interlude for two or for a small family getaway. The moment you disembark the ferry on St. John you will be greeted by our on-island managers, escorted to your island home and begin your transport to 'another life' on our island paradise.
GREAT ROOM / BALCONY
The rattan furnishings in the great room including a sofa, side chairs, occasional tables, dining table for four, entertainment center with flat screen TV with cable channels, DVD player, and stereo with IPOD docking station. The sofa converts to a queen-size bed. Comfortable furnishings, artwork, accessories, and tile floors throughout bring everything together with a Caribbean flair.
Through sliding glass doors off the great room you can enjoy al fresco dining or cocktails on the 80 square foot, tiled, covered balcony with a view to the ferry dock and waterfront buildings in Cruz Bay harbor and, in the distance, Pillsbury Sound between St. John and St. Thomas with its beautiful azure water and sailboats tacking in the wind.
KITCHEN
The fully-equipped gourmet kitchen includes granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, as well as coffee maker, blender, toaster, teapot, dishes, glassware, cookware, and utensils -- everything you will need to prepare snacks for the beach, exotic island drinks, or a gourmet dinner. A breakfast bar overlooks the kitchen and separates it from the great room.
ONE BEDROOM SIDE / BATH/ BALCONY
The tropical decor continues in the bedroom/bath suite which features a king size bed, nightstands with reading lamps, chest of drawers, TV/DVD combo. The ensuite bath has a large granite-topped vanity and a tiled shower. All linens and towels are provided and a washer/dryer and iron/ironing board are available for your use. A small covered balcony is located off the bedroom.
EXTRAS
The unit is fully air conditioned with ceiling fans in the great room and bedroom. Wireless internet service is available. A safe is provided for the storage of your valuables. Beach chairs, beach towels, and coolers are available for your trips to our many beautiful beaches.
If you decide to rent a vehicle (reservations should be made in advance), a reserved parking space is available in the parking garage at Grande Bay. However, renting a vehicle is optional because of the convenient location of Somewhere In The Sun. You are within walking distance of the eclectic duty-free shopping and dining options in the town of Cruz Bay.
The small beach at Frank Bay is less than a 10 minute walk and Solomon and Honeymoon beaches can be reached on a scenic 30 minute hike. Many of the water sport activities originate right in Cruz Bay. Without a vehicle, you are within short walking distance of the VITRAN bus stop and the taxi stand, both located by the ferry dock.
Local taxis regularly provide transportation to the most famous of St. John's beaches on the north shore.
There currently is no requirement for U.S. citizens to have a passport when traveling to the U.S. Virgin Islands. If you wish to venture to the nearby British Virgin Islands, a passport is required.

DEPOSITS / PAYMENTS:
To make a reservation, we require 50% down at the time of booking and the remaining 50% is due 60 days prior to arrival.
If the stay is 4 nights or less than the full balance is due at the time of booking.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
Should cancellation of this Lease by the Tenant occur at least 60 days prior to the commencement of the period of occupancy, all deposits less 20% of the total rental amount shall be returned provided the premise is re-rented. If the premise is not re-rented for the reserved time no money will be returned. If this Lease is cancelled by the Tenant fewer than 60 days prior to the commencement of the period of occupancy, then all monies/ full payment less 20% of the total rental amount shall be returned, provided the premises are re-rented for the reserved time. If the premise is not re-rented for the reserved time no money will be returned.
